A month has went by and I haven't had time to update until today.

I have been very busy doing some "contract sewing" for my daughter, owner of Supatoon.  If you go to her shop you can see her adorable product line.
My job is to construct these type of wallets for her Etsy shop.

Contract sewing is a lot of fun. It all starts with the clients idea.  Then I pattern draft out a plan, put together a sample, and send the sample back to the client to look at, feel and even test it out for a bit...making additions to the design or deductions from the design, as they prefer.  In this case, my daughter was doing all the original artwork on her computer, so having the dogs, cats, koala's, labels, etc. exactly in the right place for print out was essential.  Once the product is to the clients design satisfaction, it is extensively tested by the client before being released for sale.
Next my daughter sent out several of the wallets with friends and
co-workers, plus, kept one for herself to test for about a month long period.
There was some adjustments made during the testing period, but the overall results were great and the response from people who had seen the product were equally encouraging.
For example - several of them said that while standing in line at a check out counter - other people around them would see the wallet and inquire as to where they had gotten it, even tellers were inquiring.
The owner of a floral shop saw the wallets, and put in an order immediately- to sell them in her shop.
Also, a lady who owns a dog related busn. saw them, and put in her order for a dozen to start.
There was several friends, and friends of friends who put orders as well.
So it's all very exciting both for my daughter (client) and for me, to hear about the potential success of her new product.
I would love to add a few more clients to my list over the next year.  Always nice to have something new to stitch together. : )

Meanwhile, I have a break from filling orders and am back working on my first product release.  It's still in the pattern drafting stage.  I will keep my followers updated here on this blog when I have made more progress.

Thank you once again for visiting,
The Lingyre

The Second Day...

On the second day, I was able to find a simple template,  and place my header at the top of the page.  Also added a background, which is perfect for what I do.  But now, I don't think it goes with the banner.  : (
Should I just use the banner at my Etsy shop and replace it with the one that goes with this background or keep looking for a different background?  Comments please!

In The Beginning....

In the beginning...Patti Koosed of Altered Tins
created this banner for my new Etsy Shoppe and blog.
Now I just have to figure out how to put it at the top of this page.
